Dealing with Christian posters on Ex-Christian

What I hate about cultists:

First off they are often very very creepy. Not content with ruining their own lives, they have a burning need to ruin the lives of others.

They do this by promoting their beliefs in an number of ways:

1-Bait and Switch (God loves you, but you are going to Hell)

2-Copy and pasting from other pro cult websites

3-Making outlandish claims, and then ignoring any push backs or questions that cannot be answered.

Wash/Rinse and Repeat.

We are told that we just need to read the Bible, we just need to pray more, we just need to open up more to God and then the Holy Ghost will enter us.

And if we do these things and The Holy Ghost doesn't enter us, well, then, we are just shit out of luck!!!! God's ways are not our ways.

Rebuttals:

Facts are always the best, I find when dealing with the Tin Hat(e) brigade, so let's jump right in.......

The numbers game:

There are about 2 billion Christians of various stripes, many of whom disagree with other denominations

About 2 billion Muslims, and that number is rising

Around a billion Hindus

Then the numbers start to drop down into the hundreds of millions for the other, jews, Sikhs, etc

But to the cultists, they and they alone have THE TRUTH. Which is laughable

However, let us deal with Christianity itself.

How does one go to Heaven........

You must give up ALL that you have. Our current poster, James L has a bike and a tent and a fondness for movies and sports, so obviously this guy cannot be a true believer, he is still wedded to Earthly things. No matter, what does the Bible say about how easy it is to get to Heaven:

God, the creator of evil who lives in darkness, will:

Send you a strong delusion so that you will believe lies

Harden your heart

Speak in riddles so that you might nor understand.

These teachings are all in the Bible, yet without a hint of shame, cultists come onto this site, where they are not welcome and have the AUDACITY to claim that God is love and Christianity is easy. If only we BELIEVED a bit harder.

Ok then:

Which Bible shall we read

Which parts are literal or not

To believers , as long as you God has sent you the Holy Spirit, you just "know". Again, no Holy Spirit, well it sucks to be you, no matter how much you kneel and beg.

The Bible has been shown to be false in its history and crucially, it's supernatural claims. Can believers  perform supernatural feats via intercessory prayer. Of course not. I work in a hospital, someone has a heart attack, the crash team come running, no minister has ever come and healed them, or raised them back to life, although the Bible says that they can.

If true, the Bible would marry up to reality, but it doesn't.

Note, how God needs people  to carry the load. At any time, God could send an angel to us, he could appear to us. Instead, he sends Bicycle Boy and his tent of justice. Again, note the sheer arrogance of  posters, who uses words like, "a storm is coming" and this is going to be "massive" At any time, God could give us a sign, instead we get randoms on the internet. If one could wind JamesL life back to an infant, place him with Muslims parents in a Muslim country, he would be defending ALLAH on Ex-Muslim.

How insecure are believers, that they must come on here and mouth off. I never go onto to their websites and copy and paste links to Robert Green Ingersoll or Thomas Paine.

Their arrogance and hatred of others blinds them.

If Christianity is true, then there should be plenty of evidence and no doubt, instead we have bad evidence and lots of doubt.

There are nearly 8 billion people on Earth, yet we are told there is a single invisible being (in three parts) , watching them and reading their thoughts (in all different languages to boot) 24/7. This is madness and counter to common sense.

If prayer makes you happy, then I am all for it, 100 percent, even as a placebo. What I am not all for, is for sinister cultish weirdos,  preying on vulnerable and damaged people.  These people are groomers and it is sick. No wonder that religion and sex offences go hand in hand.

When extreme believers come on here, they just come across as both desperate for attention and very very unhinged.

Why doesn't JamesL climb into a lion's enclosure and read the Bible, now that would be MASSIVE, until he got eaten. Why doesn't he swim with crocodiles under the protection of Jesus. Why doesn't he throw himself of a cliff and ask God to carry him to safety.....he can't, BECAUSE SUPERNATURAL CLAIMS ARE FALSE.

If religion was merely false, well it wouldn't be so much of a concern, but it has caused more murder, misery and mayhem then anything else.
