Cooper never did the leg work of rigorous investigation. Too coke'd up and drugged out to give a shit, probably. And then woke up old and tired.  I'm glad and grateful for having gone back and re-read the bible in my mid 20's after a decade of non-belief. Because I worked out the feelings of 'what if the bible is right?' By reading it for myself and applying the logic I knew that it wasn't. And the questioning stopped. Once you already know the answer, there's nothing left to question. Regardless of the partying. At that age I was a bachelor living at the beach surfing every day that I felt like it, which was a lot. The best weed around went through the beaches. I'd smoke a joint and read the bible, I'm serious.
