A good article on the decline of religion

I thought this was a good piece on the decline of religion. The author keys it off the use of fear and bullying in religion. Two key sentences: "Church attendance and membership have long been on the decline in America. My guess is that because many folks realize that fear is at the root of so much religious conviction, the proposition has become untenable."

 

Yup. It's all about fear. Fear of death, fear of sex and the human body, fear of the unknown.
