Super Moderator TheRedneckProfessor Posted December 25, 2022 Super Moderator Share Posted December 25, 2022 Ms. Professor set up an awesome Korean barbecue for Christmas Eve dinner with choice, thin-sliced cuts of sirloin, bok choi, fungus, and mixed veggies. We had shrimp omelets for breakfast before gathering around the tree this morning. Now, I'm fixing to lay down a well-marbled Southern brisket for supper tonight. I've already coated it in dry rub and I will baste it in some beef stock that was left over from the last time we had homemade Pho. Y'all getting enough to eat? And I have a ham in the slow cooker, basting it with a honey, brown sugar and clove mixture. Well have a hashbrown casserole with dressing, some vegetables and old school mac n cheese. Just cuz im nostalgic like that. Later we are planning on making some lava cakes and eating them with vanilla bean blue bell ice cream. Right now, we are watching my favorite Christmas movies from the 80s. "Santa Clause the movie" with Dudley Moore. Also because im nostalgic like that . Moderator TABA Posted December 25, 2022 Moderator Share Posted December 25, 2022 Our plans got scrambled thanks to the Arctic cold front. So instead of visiting the “kids” it’s just my wife and I at home with the Yorkies. But yesterday we spent the evening with friends and enjoyed fondue and games. Today we had a brunch of her outstanding scrambled eggs & bacon. older Posted December 26, 2022 Share Posted December 26, 2022 Had the gang over last night for ham (their request), mashed, and Wifey's famous whisky carrots. Home-made lemon meringue pie and an apple pie. By 2:30 p.m. today (Christmas day) all the decorations inside and out are packed away for another year.
