If she weren't so vicious, she'd almost be laughable/worthy of pity. Speaking of female neo-con pundits, have you ever noticed that they come in about three categories...

-The Harpy: All around vicious and will say anything, no matter how mean or idiotic it sounds, to get attention (would probably use the N-word every three seconds if they could get away with it) and use the first amendment and/or the fact they're Christian to protect themselves.

Hatrid of Women: Very high as long as their rules doesn't apply to them.

Sex Factor: Are probably very slutty or at least dress the part, but since they're not liberals they can get away with it.

Favorite Targets: Liberals, Arabs, liberals, 9-11 victims, very demonized version of liberals, women, did I mention liberals?

Examples: Ann Coulter

-Poor Little Rich Girl: The real life version of all those rich, snobby vain girl characters you saw in cartoons (exapmle: Clair Brewster from the Beetlejuice cartoon). The PLRG can be just as vicious as the Harpy, but is a lot more reserved though her arrogance is not that hard to miss.

Hatrid of Women: Not as bad as the others. After all, they'll have rich husbands when they get married.

Sex Factor: Probably only fuck someone if they're rich and/or White jocks (if they're still in college/high school).

Favorite Targets: Mexicans, anyone who makes less money then their daddies/husbands

Examples: Michelle Mahn

-Older Lady Stepford: Unlike the others on the list OLS is actually educated and sometimes even make it on her own talents. The thing is that they're just as elitist as the Harpy and the PLRG and look down upon anyone (especally women) who are poorer than her. Even if it means telling women to stay home when they themselves are working mothers.

Hatrid of Women: OLS hates any woman who is a feminist and/or unfortunenate enough not to have as much money as them and have to work outside the home to make ends meet.

Sex Factor: Sex should only be for procreation and manipulating your husband to give you what you want. The concept of sex for love and/or pleasure is pure evil and must be stopped ASAP.

Favorite Targets: Feminists, anyone who upper middle class or lower.

Examples: Phylis Schefley (sp)

-Lil' Innocent: The nicest of the Neo-Con pundits. What Lil' Innocent lacks in meanness, she makes up for in sugary-sweet sappiness and ignorance. Likes to believe that sex and the rest of society's ill did exist before the 1960's.

Hatrid of Women: They don't hate women, they just don't understand why they need feminism because God/their daddies/husands will provide for them.

Sex Factor: Lil' Innocent is terrofied of sex and sees it as an evil boogey man.

Favorite Targets: Any era past 1959, sexuality, secularism and it's corrupting influence

Examples: Wendy Schalit, Susie from Brio Magazine

Males: Just to be fair and that I'm on a roll, I thought I'd include the male half.

-Spawn of Wade Arnold: Remember Kevin Arnold's obnoxious brother from The Wonder Years? Now take away those rare moments when Wade was actually sympathetic, make sure he never grew-up, feed him full of neo-con thought, and gave him a job doing political commentary and you have this breed of pundit.

Hatrid of Women: Holds an even more obnoxious and mygynogist version of Al Bundy's views without the fun-loving lust. Believes that once a women is past 25, no one will marry her.

Sex Factor: See above.

Favorite Targets: Women, whatever is popular with the other pundits

Examples: Vox Day

-White Oda: Battle Royale Fans will get the reference. White Oda is arrogant, elitist, and has allowed his parent's wealth to separate himself from other people that he's unable to see them (especally if they're not White) as human beings.

Hatrid of Women: Only likes his female pundit counterparts, otherwise could care less about them.

Sex Factor: Doesn't care for it because they'll either end up with OLS, Lil' Innocent, or PLRG.

Favorite Targets: Minorities (especally Hispanics and Arabs), the poor, whatever Fat Bastard hates

Exampes: Sean Hannity

-Holier Than Thou Virgin: Since it's one of the few things going for him (if not the only thing), the HTTV uses his untouched status as his personal ticket to arrogantly lord it over everyone else.

Hatrid of Women: Very High. Since a women can possibly take away their virginity if he's not careful, he directs his anger at them. Woe is to the women who desires something more than being a Stepford Wife for she will be called an "Unpaid Whore" and other nasty names even if she's never been to first base.

Sex Factor: And lose their personal shield? No way. Some of them might be gay, though.

Favorite Targets: Liberated women, whatever White Oda doesn't like, sex, women in general

Examples: VBen

-Big Baby: Despite the fact that the conservitives own a large part of the United States, the Big Baby likes to whine about how the big bad liberals are persecuting them. Tend to be the biggest drama queens in existence.

Hatrid of Women: Doesn't mind them too much as along as they aren't feminists or Elenor Roosevelt.

Sex Factor: Believes that sexuality was all fine and dandy until the 1960's ruined everything.

Favorite Targets: The UN, the liberal boogey man

Examples: The creator of Mallard Philmore

-Fat Bastard: Combine the meanness of The Harpy, the mysgynogy of SoWA, and the elitism of White Oda and you have Fat Bastard. These guys are just plain jerks of the highest order.

Hatrid of Women: See the Spawn of Wade Arnold.

Sex Factor: See above.

Favorite Targets: If Archie Bunker would've hated it, they hate it. Would probably still be going after those of Eastern European heritage if they could still get away with it.

Examples: Rush Limbaugh

I'm probably being bigioted about this, but I just had to get that off my chest.

I think Ann Coulter secretly desires a three way with Bill Clinton, and Rosie O'Donnel with a big old strap on.

:puke:

Great, now I have to get really, really drunk to wipe that image out of my head.....

Coulter is harmless. If she were dangerous, she would not be in the public eye, but behind the scenes controlling things. The dangerous guys are people like Karl Rove, Grover Norquist, and many who are on the deep inside. These folks play both sides against each other. Rove manipulates the Christian communities and pulls Ralph Reed's strings.

She's just one of their many mouthpieces. She just happens to be an

especially repugnant one.

Hey Burned,

The degree to which they are dangerous doesn't depend entirely on what they are doing in the higher up places. Ann Coulter is dangerous because of the civilians who read her and confirm their political decisions through what she says. Anyone putting stuff out like she does endangers a democracy (at least in my opinion).

It's not what they do but how they affect the people.

Good point. It makes you wonder who's more dangerous: the hateful madman or the idiots who folow them. And I've meet a hard-core Ann Coulter supporter once and it was one of the most disturbing things to listen to him.

I still wouldn't fuck her

I would...

With your dick. :HaHa:

Must you always find some way to talk about my penis?

I'd pound some submission into her...teach her how a real conservative should behave.

"SHUT UP, WOMAN!!! YOU SHOULD BE SEEN AND NOT HEARD!!!"

Hmm - I like your idea. Would still be hard to keep it up long enough to do the job, though.

Ann Coulter I would agree is dangerous - to the common folk. Of course, she's not behind the scenes, causing damage in that sort of way, but she causes damage by being a mouthpiece for her sort of views, which will always find someone to listen to them. She can inspire the common folk to listen to her brand of nuttiness, which makes her dangerous.

Granted, I don't think many people will really get behind her (except Asimov, to give her what-for), but any sort of agitation of that sort is problematic.

The thing I see is that I would rather have all sides out on the table and let every side be heard, no matter how offensive or agreeable they may be. I would rather have an Ann Coulter or Michael Moore be out there saying what they are and let the people decide for themselves using their own brains. To limit them would be censorship and that is against freedom of thought. If you limit freedom of thought, you are no worse than the worst of the book banning fundy Christians....That was one of the very things the founding fathers of the American Revolution were vehemently against, or at least guys like Thomas Paine and Benjamin Franklin and Thomas Jefferson.

I don't think we should censor anyone. I just think what she talks about is dangerous. I think what Bush and Cheney say are dangerous. I think what preachers say are dangerous. However, I don't think we can just take all those people down and kill them or make them stop talking, as much as I despise their messages and think they are harming others. People can say what they want and should be able to. As soon as I would try to censor someone, I would run the risk of that same limitation being put back on me. And if I couldn't rant and voice my opinion I WOULD DIE!

Exactly!

Is this the very thing that we attempt to pull people away from when we tell them to think for themselves? Aren't we really trying to tell them to not let other people influence them so much?

Ann Coulter, or MAN Coulter, as I call him/her/it, doesn't need a strap on. :ugh:

All joking aside, I believe Coulter is (or was) a man - I don't know of any real woman with an adam's apple and out-sized hands and feet like his/hers, not even big, tough dykes (like Rosie). And I think he/she is so vicious because he/she is mentally unbalanced due to serious gender-identification problems that conflict with his/her conservative "philosophy."

But as for being dangerous? Probably not, because he/she is only preaching to the choir; normal/rational people aren't the ones who made him/her a millionaire and won't change their opinions because of the nasty things he/she says. Man Coulter just knows that every time he/she spouts off hateful, vile, nonsense, the Faux News fans will lap up that shit and ask for more, a "fool and his money" being soon parted and all that. Let 'em; Man Coulter is no one to fear or take seriously.

I guess I just have been living under a rock, because today is the first day I’ve paid any attention to Ann Coulter, ever. This is also probably the LAST day I’ll ever pay any attention to her.

I walked into a Barnes and Noble today at lunch to peruse the books and I saw her new paperweight, “Godless” on the shelf for 30% off. I was intrigued…Ann seems somewhat attractive and has her airbrushed picture on the cover (lessee…which deadly sin is vanity?). So naturally, without knowing who this woman was, I assumed the book was called “Godless” with her picture on the cover because it was about her and her choice to be “Godless”. Was I unpleasantly surprised. Coulter is a fundie of the worst kind: the educated kind. The book is not about her and her journey to freedom from the fundamentalist mindset, but an irate lambaste of what she titles “The Church of Liberalism”.

I quickly and distastefully dropped the offensive material back on the table. I made a mental note of her website URL (www.anncoulter.com) where the book jacket said I can read her weekly column. I wanted to get a small taste of what she writes before paying to dive into one of her mud puddles. When I got back to work, I browsed to her site and began reading. I didn’t get far before I found the usual radical right wing republican spewage against liberals and their refusal to accept “the facts” of God and creationism. Now I am NO liberal…well, not a full blown one anyway. I still consider myself to be more conservative than liberal and therefore label myself a liberal conservative. :HaHa: I’m very much a fence straddler and Jesus is gonna spit me out on judgment day. But anyway, here’s some interesting stuff Miss Coulter had to say:

“"Godless" examines a set of beliefs known as "liberalism." It is the doctrine that prompts otherwise seemingly sane people to propose teaching children how to masturbate, allowing gays to marry, releasing murderers from prison, and teaching children that they share a common ancestor with the earthworm. (They haven't yet found the common ancestor ... but like O.J., the search continues.)”

 Oh my GAWD!! It’s the END TIMES! These crazy liberal people want to teach their children how to handle sexual tension and frustration without causing them any unnecessary stress and shame! They want to allow two people who love each other and want to make a commitment to each other to marry and be legally recognized as such despite their sex! They want to allow for the possibility that the justice system doesn’t always work by making it possible for people like Tookie Williams to be granted stays of execution when there is reasonable doubt of their guilt! They want to teach children that the invisible skydaddy DIDN’T create the world in six literal days and that all life on this planet is descended from a single common ancestor, NOT from a pile of dirt that the invisible skydaddy breathed into! WOE IS US!

Disgustedly, I browsed the rest of her page. I’ve heard it all before. It’s the same shit I used to spew as a Christian.

“Liberalism IS a religion.”

“Even the left's pretend-adoration of "free speech" (meaning: treason and pornography) must give way to speech that is contrary to the tenets of the church of liberalism on the sacred grounds of a government school.”

“Liberals believe in Darwinism as a matter of faith, despite the fact that, at this point, the only thing that can be said for certain about Darwinism is that it would take less time for (1) a single-celled organism to evolve into a human being through mutation and natural selection than for (2) Darwinists to admit they have no proof of (1).”

Miss Coulter is full of empty rhetoric and bombast. She can fill pages with accusations and claims, but where is the substance? I was amused to find what type of people she panders to by the destination of the link titled "DRIVE LIBERALS CRAZY" on her site. If the people that listen to her are the idiots that buy those CD's, we've got very little to worry about.

Ann Coulter proves by her actions and words that Religion and especially Christianity is Politics and not a faith system.

It goes both ways, doesn't it. If Atheism, or Liberalism can be compared to religion, then Christianity must be Politics.

If you allow her message to influence you, she has then succeeded. She is trying to drive a wedge between us and people who would otherwise be potential allies politically.

Ann is a Hatemonger its the short of it. The modern day Conservatives ahem.. or Republicans trot her out and have her as a guest speaker and speak on their behalf because they support her ideology. She has attended Many CPAC conferences Conservative Political Action Conference for those that don't know if I'm not mistaken. You're free to agree with her.. but if you don't.. you'll be classified as an angry bitter liberal who's against America and cheers at the death of our troops. She's a propaganda smear machine and nothing more. The "right" attaches themselves to her proudly, there is nothing here about her driving wedges.

There are two kinds of Republicans.. the Neocons and the PaloCons.. Palo's are today's Libertarians.. the Neocons are today's American Fascist party is the short of it. Their isn't an expansion of government power that they won't defend and endorse, and paint any distainers as Anti-American in the process to further their cause. They are statists and not freedom loving people and she's one of the mouth pieces at the helm..
