Sheild Maiden
I didn't see this posted anywhere, but since this website has helped a lot of people including me, I found another intelligent website that may also be helpful to Pagans called http://ecauldron.com.

Sheild Maiden
Having only grown up Christian, I don't really know much. I do know that most European polytheists do try to be as historically accurate as possible, but sometimes the sources aren't there or have been lost. Since it was dead for years, we don't exactly have a strong tradition do go off of, like a Hindu in India or a Japanese person who practices Shinto does. Some are eclectic and combine various gods from different religions, while others are very strict in only worshipping their ancestral gods (such as a Greek only worshipping greek gods, a Norwegian only worshipping Norse gods, etc) and practices usually vary across places. I haven't been able to find a kindred yet, so I can't really say too much about it. I mostly follow this: http://www.northernpaganism.org/general/index.html Here is an example of an Asatru ritual: More about neo paganism: Differences between wicca and asatru/heathenry/norse paganism: http://www.heathengods.com/library/wicca_comparison/pentagram_and_the_hammer.pdf http://ansuz.worldash.org/asatru/articles/intro/wicca_compar.html
