Well to be fair, the requirement isn't that you have to attend a Christian church, but that you have to attend some religious service corresponding to whatever faith you subscribe to. So strictly speaking it's not government endorsement of a specific religion - at least this is what I gather from what my evangelical friend in the Army told me back when I was a Christian. Still, I'm very glad to hear that they now consider atheist spirituality a viable form of spirituality. One needn't believe in deities to spiritual, and besides that I'm happy to see a counterexample to the claim that there are no atheists in foxholes.
