What Is With All The Hate? Fuck!

blog-0498354001347577187.jpgTraffic light ahead of me, oozing red through it's curved lense, and I am stuck listening to NPR focusing on all the horrible ignorance that has been spouting out of every orifice while atop a soap box that mankind can possibly find. Besides the news radio on my morning commute, at lunch I was bombarded with further sensational headlines and bylines.

Yemen: Some protestors admit they haven't see the movie they cite as instigating the demonstrations.

Libya: Burning down buildings and killing Americans on American soil over a crappy movie that misrepresents the Prophet Mohammed.

America: “I also believe the administration was wrong to stand by a statement sympathizing with those who had breached our embassy in Egypt instead of condemning their actions. It’s never too early for the United States government to condemn attacks on Americans and to defend our values,” Romney, 9/2012.

Consolate: We firmly reject the actions by those who abuse the universal right of free speech to hurt the religious beliefs of others.

Fox News: American lawmakers and officials question giving billions in aid to the governments of countries whose people are storming US diplomatic posts across the Middle East, following violent protests in Egypt, deadly attack in Libya. Click on photo to connect to LIVE STREAM of violence on Cairo.

CNN: Chat Board Comment: That all depends on "which" Muslims we kill.

MSNBC: "Innocence of Muslims" — the anti-Islam film blamed for sparking violence against U.S. diplomatic missions — has been traced to a producer with Coptic Christian roots and a rap sheet, a U.S. law enforcement official says.

I manage to swallow down a bit of lunch, and then have to listen to coworkers discuss the situation with unrealistic bravado and contempt. Between hearing suggestons of just killing them all to suggesting enlisting just to go on a shooting spree and killing them all, I was feeling VERY sick to my stomach.

Honestly, we are not any better than the Libyans who assaulted the consulate.

The only difference? We are one of the top countries in the world so we don't have to act out to get what we want. We are happily bought off.

You want these assholes to quit bombing, burning, and bullying? Start spreading the wealth. The more comfort you spread, the less inclination to take action you will find, and THEN you can root out the bad apples.

I can't agree to discontinue aid to Libya and other Middle Eastern countries. It's not EVERY SINGLE person that is trying to harm those that don't fit the Islamic mold. It's not even the majority. If we punish them all, the minority will take over in full force as they always have when we turn our backs.

1st: GORGEOUS graphic, WOW, good find there :) If you made that, A+.

2nd: Yeah, let's make those countries' social system even more dysfunctional. That always helps end extremism.

Yeah, I made the graphic.

As far as making countries' social systems even more dysfunctional, violence goes down in countries with distributed wealth. Key word "DISTRIBUTED". That's the hard part. Still, when everyone has a piece of the pie, the assholes in the brood can't get enough backing, along with angels too, of course. It's a double edged sword, but storming in and trying to root out all the baddies will not solve the problem, it will just cause even more baddies.

Fact is, there will always be baddies.

It's not making less of the tragedy that is going on worldwide, it's just an apathetic look at the fact of the matter behind the tragedy.
