we know what we're doing, but not to whom

 

all is a carrot, this gain, this loss

all just a light at the door of the tomb

 

so i pull the world's corners down round my ears

trying to shut out the damned weeping din

 

might as well try to see god through these tears

by nought but light from my incandescent sin
