Guest Posted October 11, 2006 Share Posted October 11, 2006 We all know about xtianity and the crusades, which started in 1095 and went for a few hundred years, ending with the 9th crusade in 1272. The OT also speaks of the ancient Israelites waring and conquering of Canaan and other tribes, and altho I can't say for sure how old Judaism was at this point in time (I actually don't think things went down as written anyway), could it possible the traditions were around 1,000 years old at the time? Because Islam is now waging a crusade of their own for the last 30 or so years, and isn't Islam 1384 years old? Is it just me or does there seem to be a point when a monotheistic religion reaches about 1,000 years of age when it needs to go out and slaughter any and all people who do not convert to that belief?
