Um...this should be in the Lion's Den if you are serious. In any case, I refuse to worship any deity who threatens me or anyone else with eternal torture. Eternal torture is immoral, unethical, and evil. It is the most inherently unjust and cruel concept ever imagined.

And if you are Christian, why did you answer "no" to any gods? You do realize that lying is a sin? Or are you parodying Christians?

I was joking, sorry. I'm not serious, I should have put this in humor or something.

Oh, Am - I think he's just kidding.

And to the best of my knowledge, few or none of these non-Xian gods demand worship on pain of eternal torment. All religions aren't the same :)

That's a lot of "Gods" and somehow Christians just can't see to understand that there is more than ONE "God" in the world that they wander in. That world is the world of myth. Believe in one "God"? You gotta believe in all of those.

Strato,

I've decided to become a Bombanian because I like their creation story better.

If you don't start worshiping Bumba, then I fear you will go to heck.

Bumba doesn't mention hell but I've gotten in heck for talking about Jesus since I've started following Bumba so it just makes sence that Bumba's plans to send bad people to heck. I'm sure you'll agree.

For your own good, I would never be concerned about my welfare, I highly recommend you avoid heck. I hear there are a lot of angry mothers there.

Would you like to say the conversion prayer with me?

You can do it on the Internet. Bumba is cool with the Internet.

Eric

I used to be a theist -- I believed in the Greek pantheon with all of my heart. But they left Mount Olympus, and I don't know where they are now. So I guess that makes me a nontheist. I suppose I could worship the planets. They are bigger than I am, and that's the only reason Christians ultimately give me for worshiping their god.

Pascals? You can eat that for lunch. Not just lunch, but breakfast, brunch, dinner and supper. It's that easy to debunk.

Buddhism: 10 Gods and Relatives of God

Aizen-Myoo, Ajima,Dai-itoku-Myoo, Fudo-Myoo, Gozanze-Myoo, Gundari-Myoo, Hariti, Kongo-Myoo, Kujaku-Myoo, Ni-O

Sorry, these aren't "gods." Nor are there any "gods" in Buddhism.

An interesting quote from that site - "Even atheists could not exist if there were no Gods to not believe in."

I have been to a couple of Buddhist Temples in China(one that was over 1000 years old). People put their wishes into incense, light the end on fire and shake the fire out cause if they blow it out they are blowing their wishes away. Then they put their incense in front of a Buddha. The interpreter told me that the smoke of their wishes goes up to the heavens where the gods are. From that point the gods may grant them their wishes.

I also got to pray to the female Buddha.

I also got to burn paper money to send to relatives who have past away. So they will have money to spend in heaven.

Correct me if I am wrong (I am sure someone will) but they seem like gods to me.
