I was particularly interested in the essay "The Power of Hope" by a professor of surgery at Columbia University. The link to the entire issue is here. From the above link, the Dr. writing the article says, "I had noticed the cross around her neck. I said I wasn't sure where he was, but I was pretty sure where he was going." Off the top of my head, everything he is observing and trying to process is being filtered through this belief which predates any scientific discovery. Its a mystery, but is it supernatural?
