Ex-COG
Yes, funding for schools are determined by the number of students that attend. Anyone pulling their kids out for homeschooling or private schooling, causes a deduction in the amount of state moolah coming their way. Warm bodies in class rooms = public dollars. Whether they are used for a good education...well, that depends on the system, and is often the reason people are pulling their kids out to begin with.
