Doesn't mean it's not real, in fact I believe we humans are vastly more dependent on our collective instinct than we care to admit. After so many of our ancestors have been nabbed by a tiger or mountain lion by going up to the treeline in the evening to take a whiz, there's going to be some spooky trigger in our subconscious about going to the treeline in the evening to take a whiz. Add to that the filter of our social conditioning, and you'll get some freaky, but ultimately explainable results. Spells? The power of suggestion. Spells have a way of being extremely unreliable if the object of your spell doesn't know about the spell. And that's what I've been lead to believe.
