Some of these books posit that prophets or messiahs were sent to the human race in order to teach morality and encourage the development of civilization." What are your thoughts? Have belief in this? par4dcourse Posted May 23, 2008 Share Posted May 23, 2008 Out of the billions of planets circling billions of stars, I'd say we'd be awfully vain to think we're the only life in existance. The chances any lifeforms have conquered the hurdles to interstellar travel and visited us is much slimmer. Even if slightly far-fetched, it's infinitely more conceiveable than genesis. Personally I do not believe in aliens and flying saucers coming to earth anymore than I believe angels sang at the birth of Jesus, Noah's ark, or Jonah and the whale.
