shantonu
The only "sin" is when you treat people as objects. When you devalue or ignore your shared humanity. Really don't know why people make it more complicated... That's right. Two rules: Never treat people as a means to an end. And always act as if all the world were watching you. ClaraOlive
I think that the Greek Orthodox do not believe in original sin. Theoretically, they believe that anyone is capable of living a perfect life. However, they also believe that no one actually has or will have lead a perfect life except Jesus and that Adam's sin did affect the world even though it doesn't make humans guilty from birth. So even if one did live a perfect life, they would still need Jesus to bring them into the right relationship to God.
Guest Birdstrike
The book of Genesis talks about creation being "very good", and that obviously applies to mankind as well, who was created in God's "image and likeness". Catholic Christian theology holds that original sin man's relationship with God and that man has a certain tendency to sin, however, man is still "born good". If man could refrain from sinning, he'd (she'd) be ALL good. Oh, and you could go with Christian Science, where EVERYTHING is "good", and "bad" (evil) really doesn't exist.
