peejay
So my entire high school graduating class (1993) has found facebook over the last few weeks. I've been inundated with SHS Alumni friend requesting me. Apparently, they are all deeply comitted "Christ followers, lovers, Christians, found God"...ad nauseum. WTF??? When we were in high school, I was the Jebus freak and they were the godless heathens. Now I'm godless and they've all "found god". Shit! Am I noticing this simply because of my deconversion or is virus spreading?
Crazycatlady
Hey, at least you got it outta your system when you were young. In answer to your question, I suspect a combination thereof.
OpheliaGinger
I would suspect that many of them now have families, and as a result felt that they needed gawd in their lives (gawd=family values)

GraphicsGuy
I would suspect that many of them now have families, and as a result felt that they needed gawd in their lives (gawd=family values) I would say there is some truth to these words... On the flip side, I just re-connected with an old church friend from my teen years who also deconverted and is living in my same town...and she turned out fucking HOT! Woohoo! Amethyst
It could be because of the recession. Interest in the supernatural/religious often increases in uncertain times.
