lunaticheathen
The Thunder, Perfect Mind. For I am the first and the last. I am the honored one and the scorned one. I am the whore and the holy one. I am the wife and the virgin.
NotBlinded
OMG! That was awesome! Thank you for posting this. Coincidentia oppositorum... I loved all of it, but this here is amazing: Those who are without association with me are ignorant of me, and those who are in my substance are the ones who know me. Those who are close to me have been ignorant of me, and those who are far away from me are the ones who have known me. On the day when I am close to you, you are far away from me, and on the day when I am far away from you, I am close to you. snip I am the hearing which is attainable to everyone and the speech which cannot be grasped. I am a mute who does not speak, and great is my multitude of words. My mystic heart is pounding!
ElrondHubbard
"I am the silence that is incomprehensible and the idea whose remembrance is frequent. I am the voice whose sound is manifold and the word whose appearance is multiple. I am the utterance of my name." I am SO into this. Thank you for sharing. Remove the blinders, and inspiration is everywhere.

I've even had christians admit it's lovely, and preferable to anything Pauline.

In terms of other Christian writers, I also really like Thomas Merton, Ammon Hennacy, and Dorothy Day.
NotBlinded
I think it says something that NotBlinded and I - fellow ex-Christians - are moved by a passage from a non-canonical gnostic text. Remove the blinders, and inspiration is everywhere. Isn't that the truth? My name here started as something a preacher said about me. He said I was blinded by the world. At the time, I was an atheist and stated that I wasn't blinded by the world, it was them that was blinded by the blight of Christianity. Now, about 6 years later, it means more than I originally intended. I really can see beyond the blinders. This is why I stated, "I can see!!" under the avatar. Wow...cool stuff.
