Ravenstar Posted October 21, 2011 Share Posted October 21, 2011 Lessons from History...ie: Isis was worshipped from predynastic Egypt (in one form or another) until the 4th century..That's about 4,000 to 5,000 years but I haven't seen a temple of Isis lately (not including reconstructionists) The archetypes will remain though - they are part of our psychology. The 'sacrificed god' is a recurrent theme throughout history and crossing may cultures. Of course it will die out.. we probably won't be around then though... and what will society replace it with? All cultures and all religions die or transform as humans transform... and we are changing faster than ever. I give it less than 500 years, but of course that pure speculation.
