Penis Sucking Jews----->This Isn't A Slur, This Is An Actual Description...

Okay, I couldn't believe this when I read it. Then I TRIED to understand this on some level, literally trying to wrap my mind around the other side's point of view. It still makes me ask several questions...and I'm not talking about the obvious ones related to abuse, mutilation and exposure to disease....

1.) What kind of "religious" fervor do you have to be worked in to in order to perform such an act?

2.) How do you screen the "sucker" to be sure he isn't, you know, a "cocksucker"?

3.) Is this allowable in the US since it is considered part of religious beliefs?

4.) When are we going to draw the line on this type of idol worshipping inspired nonsense?

Here's a small sampling of the article (as allowed) and the link to read more....I would share the picture associated with it, but I think it is borderline child pornography. Then again though, it IS in a religious rite....

"It’s called Metzitzah B’peh, a circumcision ritual practiced by some Orthodox Jews whereby the baby is circumcised in front of an audience containing its family, and then has the remaining blood sucked from its penis by a Jewish practitioner, or Mohel."

That is the most disturbing and disgusting thing I've read in a while. How mentally fucked do you have to be to want that as a career? Oh boy, I can't wait to grow up so I can suck the blood out of a circumcised penis with my mouth!

When you consider how many of these celebrations take place in any given year, it makes you wonder why they haven't just made buggering boys in Catholicism part of the "doctrine of faith" somehow. It seems ANYTHING goes in the name of religion, so long as it doesn't kill Americans.

Also, under further investigation, many of the religious counsels ask, but do not ORDER, the Mohels to use a glass tube..kind of a straw effect, to suction away the foreskin and blood? I just don't understand why they need to be doing any of this period anyhow. Religion or not, it is mutilation.

That is the nastiest thing ever! You don't infect an open wound. And you are especially careful with the immune system of an infant.

What freak came up with this? Is there a reverse evolution movement that started lately? Do these people not know we have hospitals.

Why, why, why do religions always do these sick rituals. They warn against the supernatural, witchcraft, demons, satanic rituals, and then they do crap like this?

Sometimes I wish there was a hell so I could send people like this there.

That's disgusting. I don't even think circumcision is a requirement any more right? They only do it for "supposed" health reasons.

Yeah, for "health" reasons. Granted, there is a law in the US that as far as female genital mutilation/circumcision goes, it is not permittedon individuals under the age of 18...which is a huge WTF anyhow that it is even legal. Soooo many immigrant girls at that age are still forced to undergo it. Then you things like this where BABIES are subjected to it, WITHOUT anesthesia of any type, without any questioning of it whatsoever. I've seen the arguments for and against it, and I am sorry, there are enough uncircumcised men in the world versus the other, and there isn't a higher health risk.

I just ask when as a society do we put our foot down to events like this in the name of God?

If it's not needed then why do it and on such a delicate part of the human body. I remember my friend's baby looked so pitiful after he was circumcised. They had to give him all kinds of instructionon how to care for the baby. I mean they don't do it to women for health reasons and our parts are much more exposed to infection and what not than men. It really makes no sense. Hopefully if I have a son my husband won't insist on it.

I don't care if it is a religoius rite, fuck them and their stupid beliefs. I hope it isn't allowed in the States.

I don't care if this practice is religious, it most certainly is not moral or humane.

I can't write anymore because I just don't even know where to begin.

Ditto, I wish I hadn't read this article this morning. Disgusted, is an understatement.

Aren't orthodox Jews the ones who have separate dishwasher's for meat and dairy, and use non push button elevators on the sabbath to not do "work"?

How come they work so hard to not do anything which might fall outside levitical law on these issues, but they don't worry about "But you shall not eat blood"?

On another note, why people are acting as if this is sexual abuse. To me sexual abuse is the victimization of a child for sexual gratification. It seems to me that this is just some dumbass ritual, much like other dumbass rituals, just a bit more weird.

I mean if you had to choose the more evil of two religions, would you choose one which practiced this ritual but otherwise was liberal theologically or one which didn't practice the ritual but demonised gays, and women, and anyone different from them?

Edit:

Ah, I looked through the article some more,

It has led to many babies around the world contracting diseases such as herpes and syphillis, and can obviously increase the risk of infection and death

that is definitely a concern.

I still have to debate a sexual connotation about it all simply because using sterile sponges would suffice to "protect the wound". Yet, they give no reason for NOT using their mouths and more sterile instruments instead.... This particular procedure isn't even given by god in their holy books. THAT is what bothers me even more.

Some of them hire a non-Jewish person to do their "work" on the Sabbath. I do know that they will unscrew the light bulb in their refrigerators so as to "not light a fire on the Sabbath". Exodus 35:3. All I can do is just shake my head, and hope for the day when this barbaric behavior stops.

Probably because their ancestors did it, so it's "Tradition" and everyone knows that we have to follow tradition. Seriously if the kid is fucked up later in life, it's probably either because his brain stem was eaten by syphilis, or more likely because he was indoctrinated by a religious cult during childhood.

I am beginning to think that GOD stands for, Great Overlord of Death.

It's funny how people ignore the absurdity of judiasm. There are so many OCD like rituals that make no sense. I had a friend who was converting because of her husband. Very ridicilous.

More than anything that I have taken away from this article is a sense of overboard political correctness that isn't even remotely correct!

It's illegal in the US for kids to get tattoos under the age of 18. BUT, if for religious purposes, it is okay? It's illegal in the US for children under the age of 18 to get an abortion without parents permission (in most states), but we can pierce a child's ears, or cirumcise an infant boy without THEIR permission. It's illegal to deny/discriminate against a child the right to worship religion/gods, but it isn't illegal for the parents to punish the child for choosing to not worship or for worshiping something completely different than what the parents wanted altogether.

I am really sick of this kind of abuse of the system by religious traditions and beliefs.

That is so disturbing. :(

It doesn't make sense (for reasons other than the obvious) because Torah has so many laws about avoiding bodily fluids and blood.
