Inconsistent wisdom,

that is me.

Though I often hear its voice,

I don't always heed.

And I even have suspicion

that I know why.

For who wants to party

with those who are wise?

Very nice. Did you write it? I must say the last two parts remind me of myself; I'm by no means "wise" but most people don't view discussing Dostoevsky as a party .

I know exactly what you mean. Perhaps it's unfortunate that more people don't view the "weighty" subjects as mere prelude to the party.

 

I mean, how can you have your pudding if you don't eat your meat?
