Favorite Books On Atheism?

Recommended Posts

Can anyone please recommend their favorite books on atheism? I've read The God Delusion,

and Atheist Universe. Both were very good but i'm looking for what others think are the best.

Also, any books that are helpful in debunking Christianity are welcome as well. Thanks!

Honestly i really haven't read that many books on atheism, i get most my material from the internet and books having nothing t odo with religion at all, they just hold information to be applied.

Also welcome to the forums, i hope you stick around and i assure you, you will find just as many arguments against God and Christianity on this site, as you will in any book.

I have a growing appreciation for anything by Robert Green Ingersoll.

Which one do you recommend, I read his short About the Holy Bible and was mostly disappointed, He did make a good point about if Jesus was god incarnate he would know the future and if so why didn't he take more care to explain his words and help prevent all of the battles we've had over doctrine (such as actually explaining the trinity himself or clarifying his position on earth).

Wow, The Age of Reason was very good. Thomas Paine completely

destroyed the Bible. I'm amazed this was actually written and

published over 200 years ago.

Loftus' book absolutely eviscerates every claim Christianity makes. If I were going to be condemned to a desert island and could take only one book on the subject of atheism, that'd be the one I'd take. I re-read it from time to time just to brush up, and every time I see something new that I hadn't noticed before (sort of like watching Idiocracy, in a way).
