Goodbye Jesus

He Is Not Here

Just now looking through my old high school papers I found a poem I wrote for a class, I suppose it marks the starting point of my downfall from Christianity.

Tawny hue bleeding through the corners of the far horizon

As twilight blinds the world of the ugliness of time

I see God swimming through the sunset

He is there

Wind combing though the forest as naked trees waltz

To the rhythm of nature’s fury

I see God rolling down the sky as a tear from the livid clouds

He is there

Thousands of diamonds scatter across the vast night sky

Encircling the bright, full center piece of the heavens

I see God embracing the universe with His beauty

He is there

Blood snakes down my bony white arm

Draining away this pain, draining my existence away

I feel God’s desertion, I feel my forsaken soul wane

He is not here

It doesn't have to be about religion, Saxyroze.

This is the 'Creative Works' section. You can put anything

here that is creative. Go for it. :woohoo:
