saxyroze Posted November 29, 2005 Share Posted November 29, 2005 Just now looking through my old high school papers I found a poem I wrote for a class, I suppose it marks the starting point of my downfall from Christianity. Tawny hue bleeding through the corners of the far horizon As twilight blinds the world of the ugliness of time I see God swimming through the sunset He is there Wind combing though the forest as naked trees waltz To the rhythm of nature’s fury I see God rolling down the sky as a tear from the livid clouds He is there Thousands of diamonds scatter across the vast night sky Encircling the bright, full center piece of the heavens I see God embracing the universe with His beauty He is there Blood snakes down my bony white arm Draining away this pain, draining my existence away I feel God’s desertion, I feel my forsaken soul wane He is not here Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
