Fweethawt
Somehow, some way, this e-mail ended up in my inbox at work today. And get this!!! The person who sent it, mailed it to two people, and two people only. AND MY NAME WAS NOT ONE OF THE ONES THIS (INTENTIONALLY) GOT SENT TO!! That's right! It's in my inbox, but my name wasn't even attatched to it. That's kind of weird if you ask me. If anyone can come up with a half decent rebuttal to this one, I might be half-inclined to fire it back even though I wasn't included in the initial mailing of it. Somewhere along the way, the Federal Courts and the Supreme Court havemisinterpreted the U.S. Constitution. How could fifty States be wrong? THIS IS VERY INTERESTING! Be sure to read the last two paragraphs. America's founders did not intend for there to be a separation of God and state, as shown by the fact that all FIFTY states acknowledge God in their state constitutions: Alabama 1901, Preamble. After reviewing acknowledgments of God from all 50 state constitutions, one is faced with the prospect that maybe, just maybe, the ACLU and the out-of-control federal courts are wrong! "Those people who will not be governed by God will be ruled by tyrants."-William Penn Let's start reclaiming AMERICA. Any election from now on,whether national or local, vote to unseat the incumbant, regardless of their politicalpersuasion, unless they have done specifically some thing noticeable to give AMERICA back to the people and straightening out the courts. Isn't it time for us to quit hiding in the corner and attempting to be politically correct. Be AMERICAN, and stand up and be heard. If you found this to be "Food for thought," send to as many that you think will be touched by it also. GOD BLESS AMERICA!
Godless Wonder
You (and who knows who else) were on the BCC list. Your name won't appear in the "to" list, iirc.
Chad3232132
How could 50 states be wrong? Because the state constitutions were basically all written by old white guys during a period in our history when the vast majority of the citizens were disenfranchised maybe? JeffXL
This little bit o' propaganda forgets that the these are preambles, and have not proscriptive meaning. Also, the states' constitutions go on to establish the freedoms enshrined in the national Constitution, including no prohibition or establishment of religion. Also, the original constitutions of many states said that only white males could vote. Then any male, then women. I'd say it's time to change the preambles, even though they can do no legal harm. Have you gotten the bullshit emails about how D.C.'s buildings are all about Christianity? That's a gem. Or how about the crap that they digging out of Holy Trinity vs. the United States? Xtianity is built on lies, and they just keep coming up with new lies!
Taphophilia
Why do they think that Supreme being, Diety, or God is obviously the Christian one? Why don't they understand that it was just part of the culture in which they were written to give hommage to a creator, divinity, or diety and then go on with life. They didn't express that the creator, divinity, or god would take part in government functioning. It was just cultural to mention. Abraham Lincoln said "One nation under God" in his Gettysberg Address. So, he's classified as Christian. He was he an Agnotic and a skeptic one at that. It was just part of his culture. Chad3232132
Hmmm... I just checked my state's (Florida) constitution and whoever did that e-mail didn't even get the preamble correct. The correct Florida preamble of the Florida constitution reads: "We, the people of the State of Florida, being grateful to Almighty God for our constitutional liberty, in order to secure its benefits, perfect our government, insure domestic tranquility, maintain public order, and guarantee equal civil and political rights to all, do ordain and establish this constitution. " Source: http://www.leg.state.fl.us/Statutes/index....=3&Tab=statutes Geez how hard is it to cut and paste the correct version of state constitutions?!?! I'm with Taph on this. "God" is a generality. Last I checked the Christians have not got copyright on the word.....though they sure pretend to. The word 'god' seems to be used in a more general sense. Besides, the religion is Christianity, so if the founding fathers were talking about it, wouldn't they have referred to jesus instead? They could have just as easily said Allah, or Buddah, or whatever they felt like. No, I think they used the generic because it was a cultural thing. Japedo
God could be money, The Reverend Moon or Jim Jones for all the sender of this email knows. The fact of the matter is there is Zero Reference to anything remotely Christian in any of the listed founding state documents. No mention of Jesus Christ, Satan or any other "God" or Son of a God. No mention of any kind of Bible, Moral Code, Doctrine or anything like that. 50 states aren't wrong, People will worship whatever and how ever they want or don't want to worship. There is Zero Definition of "God" in any of these documents. The person sending this email will have to prove that their god is the one intended if they wish America to accept their Far reaching illusion, Trust me, It wont Fly. Not anywhere in the founding of this country are their symbols of Christianity. There however are many pagan gods all throughout our national Architecture, the gods of Justice, Liberty so on and so forth are all used.
