Ross Posted January 2, 2013 Posted January 2, 2013 These are photos of trees and plants from around where i live. They are run through a graphics program to mirror the image and you then put the 2 mirrored bits together and you get a fractal. See if you can see the spirits in each one? 1
RankStranger Posted January 3, 2013 Posted January 3, 2013 My favorite plant spirits are those of the Agave. I also like the spirits of corn, potatoes, sugar cane... and probably several other plants. 2
Ross Posted January 3, 2013 Author Posted January 3, 2013 Oh wow, that's amazing! Thank you. Every time I look at these photos I see more and more spirits.

The one i work with the most is Paper Bark spirit. I also am getting closer to Bankisa spirits. They have very thorny leaves. When new these leaves are so soft. Bankisa is taking a long time to get to know. I suppose their thorny leaves shows that they are very protective.

Deva Posted January 3, 2013 Posted January 3, 2013 That's awesome work Ross. I especially like the first one.
Ross Posted January 5, 2013 Author Posted January 5, 2013 Thank you all. When I can get back onto the PC I will post some more.
Ross Posted January 5, 2013 Author Posted January 5, 2013 Kiwi Fruit vine spirit. Same as above different part of the vine. Grevillia and moss spirit. Bouganville spirit. tibouchina spirit.
Ross Posted January 5, 2013 Author Posted January 5, 2013 Turpentine gum spirit. 1000 year old tree spirit in Vietnam. Banksia tree spirit. Blue gum spirit.
Deva Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 Ross I think you have captured the essence of the tibouchina flower. I have no problem with calling it a spirit! It is one! Also love the Banksia - looks like a giant menacing insect.

Deva Posted January 6, 2013 Posted January 6, 2013 Did you see the human head in the Bouganville spirit photo? Something that looks vaguely human toward the top. There are all kinds of images if you look at it.

Just don't swallow the worm. Mexican friend of mine said the tequila made with a worm in it is for the tourists. He says good tequila has no worm. I agree. Love the photos of the wood spirits too. I like the first one, looks like it has horns.
