Moderator Margee Posted March 10, 2013 Moderator Share Posted March 10, 2013 Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall.Humpty Dumpty had a great fall.All the kings horses and all the kings men,Couldn't put Humpty together again. With strong strength of spirit and a will to go on,He picked up his own pieces and wrote a new song,One piece at a time, he glued back the parts,He thought new ideas, that would allow brand news starts. With body intact but still empty within,Went on to discover what makes the real Humpty grin,He dug deep in his heart, in his mind and his soul,And found the culprit that had created the hole. It would take some work to get rid of the lies,That were told to him, thoughout all his life.It will help if I can gain my own self-respect,Then others will see I no longer self-neglect. With a smile on his face, he was put to the test, He was a free thinker and not like the rest,Ashamed no more about the person he was,He straightened his shoulders and gave himself applause. ''I yam what I am'' as Popeye once stated,If Popeye can do it, then Humpty related,I'll not be afraid to be who I am,I am a free thinker and proud of that 'stand'! If you are in pieces and afraid of the dark,Then turn the light on and make a new start,There's no one alive that can fix all your 'falls',Get Humpty's new attitude and start to stand tall!! I just got in the mood this morning to try and put into words what so many of us go through in 'Deconverting'. I am still in that process and I began here 2 years ago. I need what the people on EX-c have to offer me. It's been their help and a lot of my own investigating that has helped to de- brainwash me. milesaway Posted March 11, 2013 Share Posted March 11, 2013 the way i figure it, each day is a step away from the pack of lies xtianity sold us and a step away from the hurt and the pain xtianity's followers have caused us. even though i was never a member of any of the churches i visited these past few years, looking back they did me a whole lot more harm than good. it's only been recently that i've been able to start putting everything that happened in words, and i should have done it sooner. i think we all need each other. *hugs* to you too. 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
