If a church leader has viewed pornography....

Posted on Oct 23, 2013 | by Jay Dennis

LAKELAND, Fla. (BP) -- Much too often it happens. A pastor, staff member or volunteer church leader has been viewing pornography.

So what should a church do if a leader has viewed pornography? Let me suggest a 10-step process:

"Insist that he tell his wife."  That always goes over well with the conservative type.

Wait!!!  Church leaders have viewed porn???!!!???  No!  They are men and women of god!  I'm sure they were just researching for a sermon.

Or maybe, maaaayyyyybbbeeee, it was SATAN who put those sites in their histories!!!!  The Enemy is very tricky and wants to destroy the church, you know.

I have a 2 step program:

1. Look at porn.

2. Masturbate.

If they viewed porn it is because they were moved by the spirit to view porn and for no other reason.  It's not their fault the spirit wants porn.  The lord works in mysterious ways.

Should you terminate the employment of the pastor or staff member who is guilty?...

However, where there is obvious denial and blame or if his wife decides she can no longer live with him, the church is left with little choice.

They will fire him just because his wife leaves him. They wouldn't fire him because of the porn and he comes clean and gets back to god yet because they despise the word "divorce" so much they will still fire him. lol. Where do i sign up for this job?
