AJG Posted April 18, 2014 Share Posted April 18, 2014 Just a suggestion, I'd hold off on The God Delusion by Dawkins for a while. It can be a difficult read for a new deconvert. It was for me, at least. Dawkins eviscerates religious philosophy and you may end up becoming a tad defensive about your old superstitious beliefs. Save it for later. Here are a few suggestions: 1) Why I Believed by Kenneth Daniels, a former longtime evangelical missionary. It's a kinder gentler God Delusion written explicitly for Christians. 2) Cosmos by Carl Sagan. A "spiritual" book about reality and a modern day epic poem. 3) Why Evolution is True by Jerry Coyne.
