UnFundEd
I'm very new to the site, so I can't imagine no one has posted this sort of question before, but it just occurred to me... Shouldn't the onus be on God to prove that he believes I exist, instead of the other way around?

Super Moderator TheRedneckProfessor Posted August 11, 2014 Super Moderator Share Posted August 11, 2014 An excellent point, but one that christians would rebut with "Thou shalt not put the lord thy god to the test."
Neverlandrut
Si señor! If god (as traditionally thought) is all knowing/powerful and he wants us to believe, the the onus is on him to demonstrate his existence so that we can believe. I love Matt Dilahunty's response to Christians who ask what would make him believe. He tells them, I have no idea. But an all knowing, all powerful being who really wants me to believe in him would know exactly how to convince me, would have the power to convince me, and would be willing to convince me. The fact that I am not convinced is evidence to me that such a being does not exist.
