SCM
what i find is a good idea is to search google for "top 10/20/50 fantasy/sci-fi books" then see if you can get an e-version of something that sounds good onto your computer. same deal with music, just go through the top 100 songs right now, you can probably find out what you do and don't like pretty fast. i used jango (which is pretty similar to pandora) which gave me my first taste of secular music at 16. spotify is your friend (and free) and gives you access to pretty much all music that exists. scope out what genres you like and explore from there. (you can jump between similar artists and also look at current top-lists.) specific book choice: prince of thorns trilogy (about a damn ruthless boy scheming his way up from the bottom to prince/king/emperor, darker fantasy series) Specific music: nobody alive can hate ed sheeran.
