theGreatMe
Here's a cute little problem for christians. 1.) God cannot lie. 2.) The book of Revelation is the inspired infallible word of God. 3.) The book of Revelation says that the Devil will do X, Y, and Z in the last days. 4.) The Devil now has the power to read the book of Revelation and choose not to perform X, Y, and Z and make God into a liar - which He cannot be. 5.) Further incentive for the Devil not to perform X, Y, and Z is that the last things will not come to pass (ie. receiving his judgement), making God have to wait so he won't be a liar. 6.) So let the Devil be happy with the sin of Sloth! Hehe.
pandora
Suppsedly, God has a certain amount of control over the Devil according to the book of Job. If this is true, I doubt God would let the Devil not fulfill Revelations.
theGreatMe
Problem: In Job, you have God allowing the Devil to do evil as opposed to forcing him to do evil. Which would be morally questionable.
pandora
Ah... good point. Indeed, the Devil does have an oppotunity, doesn't he?
