But one issue that seems clear as I keep seeing long term charts is how the last couple hundred years of upward temperature trend (coinciding with the industrial revolution through today) is seldom put into large scale perspective. For one reason, it doesn't look nearly as alarming or fearful when you do add the surrounding context.
