Casey
http://www.thesmokinggun.com/archive/0411061foot1.html For chrissakes! I've looked at the video a few times. He is handed a pistol in battery, that is, with the slide open and locked back. At no time does he bother to look in the chamber to see if there is a magazine present or not. He just hits the slide release, lowers the muzzle so as to "ease springs" (to press a trigger to prevent unnecessary wear on the mainspring) thinking the weapon is unloaded and bang! And now he's suing the DEA because he's being ridiculed? Talk about spitting the dummy! Why the bloody hell shouldn't he be? He even admits in the video that he's had an ND (Negligent Discharge of a firearm which is a serious offence in military and police circles for obvious reasons). He got off light already, the round only hit his own foot. If it had hit one of those kids, he would've been exposed to a sight more than ridicule. I can only hope the Court tells him to take his foot out of his mouth, put his dummy back in, and also tells him where to shove his lawsuit - sideways.
