I notice that, as is typical of these demented morons, it's a plot to depopulate the earth.

A little logic is required here. If I was planning to depopulate the earth I wouldn't mandate mask wearing, social distancing or lockdown to prevent the virus spreading.  Neither would I grant emergency use permissions to use the vaccines to stop people dying, or at least suffering so badly when(if) they catch it.

Yet again these evangelical conspiracy theorists believe a lie over the truth and common sense. Then again, they believe the Bible is literal so they'll obviously believe anything but the truth.

I'm so glad I escaped the cult.

It's the same as the micro chip shit. Old fucking theories. Anymore when they bring up the micro chip thing it's usually met with an FYI about bank cards and cell phones. The conspiracy isn't feasible any more. They can track you regardless and a micro chip is old news - 70's and 80's era Revelation oriented conspiracy.

So yes, none of this makes a bit of sense if it's just the evil pantheist's at the UN trying to depopulate the earth. Knocking out the virus and getting everyone vaccinated doesn't match the conspiracy theory. This will become the same type of old out dated conspiracy theory, next in order.....

The one I usually hear is that the vaccine contains something to help them program you for some kinds of responses, and make you more malleable to

1. be a slave

2. bow to the Beast

3. prepare you for off-world conditions

The list goes on and on since it is imaginary and no one has isolated anything that can do anything but cause an immune response to a spike protein.

Well, there is a quote out there from author Harlan Ellison: "The two most common elements in the universe are hydrogen and stupidity."

The actual evidence reveals those that do not get vaccinated have a much higher probability of contracting COVID-19.

People are immune to evidence when it would negate a pet belief. Now, where have we seen this before??? 🤨

Well, for depopulation covid is such a bad one. It severly effects only a small part, but can leave chronic issues.

And, again, they do not NEED microchips to infl your behaviour. Pure factual technology is that the brain functions with electromagnetism. It would be feasible to install powerful antennae and transmit some frequency, avoiding having to install 7 billion microchips with so many chances of failure. No, I do not think 5 g will do it, but yes, modern technology, AI, nuclear and biological pose new , unknown risks. Either for destruction or control. An average Joe does not stand a chance. I often think, in this line, if the CIA wanted to kill me, I don't have a chance anyway. I mean, if Bill Gates actually posses that power and tech I m f*ckd. Regardless of any tin foil hats I buy. :)

.    If I were religious I would wholly trust God to protect me, not prance around pretending not getting a vaccine will save me from modern tech.

To follow up on this general subject, has anyone been following the recent story about Tennessee firing a vaccination specialist?

I read the story. Not surprised. The level of stupid in this country, especially in power, is at one of the highest points ever. Sound bites that echo and inflame already held beliefs are valued more highly than anything factual that contradicts them.

My concern now are the variants that the unvaccinated are creating and unleashing on the world. My local circle of vaccinated musicians are just starting to do gigs and jams again, and 30 people in a backyard without masks makes me nervous, as does going to restaurants. Even breakthrough sickness is still hard to face. Some friends that have compromised immune systems are still having to isolate socially.

But when bellowing idiots mock the attempts to mitigate the spread, it makes me wish a boatload of the virus on them and their families. I look at all the ones it could have culled from the gene pool and didn't, while it took many good people...

Here's a story in The Guardian, the lead of which states:

"Republican lawmakers across more than a dozen states are working to limit the powers of local health departments in ways experts say is likely to lead to “preventable tragedies” during disease outbreaks, including the Covid-19 pandemic."

The rest of the story is quite scary:

Oh, yeah, I've noticed that fer a long time. People can be otherwise reasonable, but when it comes to a pet theory, they just can't process contrary evidence.

Especially true with religion, of course!
