Goodbye Jesus

Indigenous people of Amazon against missionaries

Thought you might be interested in this article about the indigenous people of the Amazon and their legal fight against Xian missionaries who continue to invade despite the objections of the people and laws against it:

(I am reminded of the missionary who was determined to go to an island in the Indian ocean despite warnings against it, and the natives there killed him on the beach.)

New Tribes Mission: one of the worst.

Evangelical missionaries have been peddling this nonsense all over the world for hundreds of years (I was a firm and active participant for most of my life).

These people are so arrogant.

They believe they have the truth.

They believe that if someone has never heard the gospel then god will be merciful and they will be admitted to heaven.

They believe that if someone hears the gospel but doesn’t accept it then they will go to hell.

They then insist on telling everyone the gospel - thus condemning people to hell. But they say that’s their choice, that if they hear and reject Jesus they only have themselves to blame.

And they enjoy what they see as persecution by people who reject them; after all, doesn’t the bible say ‘Blessed are you who are persecuted’?

What evil thinking is all that? It isn’t even logical by their own standards.

But you can’t tell them - they have the truth.

Matthew 24:14 was used as the justification.  Jesus will not return until everyone has heard the word.  Thus, it was imperative to go into the most remote tribes and spread Christianity.  Elsewise, Jesus would not return.

So we read the bible after we left our brains at the door.

So if they get to everyone and Jesus still doesn't return, maybe that will be the end of it.
