Goodbye Jesus

The flat Earth.

Almost 2022 AD and there are still people who think the Earth is flat, though in 2022 BC, some knew that was wrong.

Over 90% of flat earthers get their misinformation from the bible:

Some waste their time arguing with such dullards, which gives them a sense of legitimacy.

It is like someone saying they know Santa Claus exists. Prove me wrong.

The problem is that to prove the non-existence of a mythical being or creature is almost impossible unless some other descriptions go along with the claim such as going down all chimneys with children around the world on Christmas eve.

On the other hand, there is a mountain of evidence against the existence of a flat earth.

I'd challenge any flat earther's living in Australia, New Zealand, South Africa or the southernmost parts of Chile or Argentina to find Polaris (the North Pole star) anywhere in their skies at any time of the year.

If the North Pole is at the centre of the Flat Earth, then everyone, anywhere (weather permitting) should be able to see Polaris at any time of the year.

;)

Every New Year's Day, as it dawns starting with New Zealand, we see on live TV that it is dark there and yet it is still daylight for many more hours  where we live.

I keep a copy of this handy on my computer because I find I have to use it on average once a week:

Isaiah 40:22

upon the circle

chuwg  (khoog)

a circle -- circle, circuit, compass.

http://biblehub.com/lexicon/isaiah/40-22.htm

The earlier Isaiah 22:18

thee like a ball

duwr  (dure)

a circle, ball or pile -- ball, turn, round about.

This is a very handy site you should bookmark:

featuring different bibles, what Jewish and Greek words in the bible really mean, commentaries and lots of other useful information, for when you have to explain the bible to christians.
