older
Here's the lede: Two employees with a North Carolina company say they were fired after refusing to participate in the firm’s daily Christian prayer meetings, which they said went against their respective religious beliefs, according to a lawsuit filed by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. https://www.usatoday.com/story/money/2022/06/30/north-carolina-workers-fired-company-christian-prayer/7776489001/

midniterider
On the one hand, mandatory prayer sucks...on the other hand if some dipshit wants to pay me to do nothing for 45 minutes, I'm all for it. We used to have 30 minute briefings at my old job. I thought it was great...(didnt have to hear about Jebus, though). "Lord Jebus! We come to you to put it on the boss' heart to worship your holy name for a good hour at the very least...we're already doing 45 minutes..." An interesting thought. Perhaps they could extend it to a whole day. And, of course, everyone would get Wednesday afternoon off so they cold get ready for Bible study.
