Goodbye Jesus

The conclusion

Sometimes it's good to just state the obvious conclusions:

There is no problem of evil/suffering if there is no god.

There is no problem of instruction if there is no god.

There is no problem of divine hiddenness if there is no god.

We see no miracles, prayers aren't answered and there is no real magic, exactly as if there is no god.

The immoral laws and claims of the bible make sense if there is no god.

The numerous denominations, holy books, religions and contradictory beliefs make sense if there is no god.

There is no need to fight against the scientific fields to force ID, creation, young earth and demonic possession if there is no god.

The horrors of the inquisition, crusades, witch trials, Protestant verse Catholic wars and abuse of church power make perfect sense if there is no god.

The thousands of years of believers trying and failing to prove the existence of thousands of different claimed gods or supernatural beings, makes sense if there is no god.

The lack of any religious group being protected from harm, living longer lives, being free from disease or any other sign of divine favour makes sense if there is no god.

There is no problem trying to reconcile the war God of the OT with the hippy God of the NT if there is no god.

There is no problem with salvation, heaven and hell claims, or unjust judgment, if there is no god.

There is no need to claim incredulity when looking at the natural world for things like the big bang, abiogenesis and evolution, as all of things are just natural events if there is no god.

There is no need to put certain people on pedestals as divinely chosen if there is no god.

There is no need to give billions of dollars and thousands of hours to churches, missions, and religious institutions if there is no god.

We don't need to eat certain foods, wear certain clothes, marry certain people, think certain ways and go through many rituals if there is no god.

We don't need God for morals, for laws, to explain the natural world, to create life, to love, to live a long, happy, fulfilled life and to be good people.

The world works without Him. The world makes more sense without a caring God and the lack of unity within Christianity is exactly what we would expect to see from a man made institution.
