Goodbye Jesus

Books On The New Testament

I'm planning on ordering Misquoting Jesus because the history of the Bible is interesting to me, and I think will be helpful. Since Amazon will ship free over 25 bucks I figure I should go ahead and get another book as well and would like to get one on the history of the Bible from the other side - written by someone who thinks it is the "inspired word of God" - and who tries to explain how a group of men can vote on God's word. That way I'll see both sides of the coin.

Any suggestions for a good book like that?

I also think it'll be easier to tell family members when I've studied both sides of the story rather than just one. Well, easier to convince it's not just a phase anyway.
