Dra_Mucd_Uha Posted May 5, 2006 Share Posted May 5, 2006 I am a writer. I actually write novels (or try, rather), and lately decided to try poetry. To be blunt, I don't like reading poetry that much. But writing it is kinda cool... I've gained a new appreciation for poetry. Anyway, this is one I wrote that I thought was appropriate for this site. The Kingdom of Truth -Phoenix I look around me and I see slavery, People who have come together as brothers, They have become masters of savagery, Attacking the lifestyles of others. These religious people are demanding, They try to conform those around them, As they live life they are reprimanding, The religious man destroys those around him. The freethinker is called a fool, Irony is an attribute of fate, The slaves are beginning to lose rule, And they are growing in their hate. As knowledge continues to expand in size, Savagery is being cast into Hell, It is slowly meeting its demise, And truth, in the end, will prevail. While the slaves await their master, The free await their freedom, Because religion is coming to disaster, And truth is creating its kingdom.
