After seeing him accept Bruce's Arena debating challenge, I though we were gonna see some real debating action at Ex-C. He got a bit upset when I light heartedly posted smilies at him. Me thinks some of these more rabid christian folk get banned on purpose to avoid our responses, and justify to themselves their reasons for not answering..... All I saw him do was post rants with, granted, rather dubious arguments, but nothing nearly as bad as our ol' friend musa and we tolerated him. Let's just say I can be controversial, even in the Christian arena, although I think I have paid my dues to avoid the label "totally cocky". I'm open minded and am only in search for the truth, like you. A little insight is that my alliance lies with the ORIGINAL TEXT and not the ilk of the King James version. Just because someone else may say what has been said of a verse in the Bible for hundreds of years doesn't mean I am with the "popular" take on that verse. Could you help me here? My background is to have studied the original text and find out for myself, and my teacher leaned toward Kingdom Principles... with which I'm sure no one here is familiar. Not important I guess. Now I have been interested in evolution and have studied it somewhat. My studies of the original text has led me to believe that science just confirms what the scripture says, from the asteroid Chxlub to the amino acid all the way past the crowmagnum man. So do I still qualify for a debate on evolution if I believe the scripture says the same thing as science? I do find this subject fascinating! Thanks for any help you can offer me on this one! I found his website while surfing for apologetics ministries. What exactly happened and why is he banned? Was he spamming? He claims that he was banned for no reason. Whats the deal? Just curious. But he wasn’t received too well by people here, because in the thread he started, he was copping an attitude, and demanded we followed his requirements for debating and arguing, and that is not taken very lightly here. People say what they want here. And he couldn’t take jokes or even smilies in the posts. When you come here to argue, you will get argued back, and I guess he didn’t expect that. Some of my responses were serious some were a joke. But he couldn't take it; he demanded his rules to the thread. Now that would be interesting because I'm ex-christian, but I shouldn’t have any rights to express myself here, while he's not ex-christian and demand things from me. We have had some real doozies post at Ex-C (eg Troy), and it wasn't intended to offend Dave JJ. Dave JJ's later responses were a little heavy handed, but that's to be expected at Ex-C.
