Animania
Christianity has so many things in common with other religions, and they all share those same things that I dislike for the most part. So I guess the thing that I dislike about Christianity the most is that it is the one that I was indoctrinated into and had to suffer through. It would simply be another one of those religions out there that I don't believe if it were not for that.
StevoMuso
In South Africa we get many cars with the bumper sticker, "Real Men Follow Jesus". This seriously pisses me off coz it seems to sum up all the arrogance and ignorance in one punchy statement.

This seriously pisses me off coz it seems to sum up all the arrogance and ignorance in one punchy statement. Here is another annoying one. It's kind of an implicit threat that is a throwback to the days when Christianity wielded political power: "If you don't have Jesus in your heart, we will pursue you with the malignity and savagery that only true Christians are capable of." Kurari
Just the whole fact it makes NO freaking sense. The Bible has been translated many multiple times, 34,000+ denominations have their own interpretations based on that, and then individuals all have their personal interpretations over that. There is NO WAY you can "win" and go to heaven because nobody can agree within this one religion just WTF their religion means or what they are supposed to be doing exactly. Even my partner can't even get along with most of his fellow Christians. It's the bad kind of crazy is what it is.

Xerces
The one thing that pissed me off the most was being told that, a person could live a completely good life, help others, sacrifice to help the community, and just did great things throughout their life, but if they didn't "know" Jesus that they would still go to hell for not repenting. There are quite a lot of other things that tick me off too..
Franko47
Yeah, these are all pretty good aspects of it that at one time or another have likely been key reasons for deconversion. I think the part that bothers me the most is the way in which it spawns these absolutists, these arrogant self-proclaimed "prophets", this delusion that they are somehow in touch with a higher truth when in fact they are in the grip of a narrow psychosis. As well, the way they kind of have this "us and them" attitude as well. I'm just so tired of it. Like I would marginalize friends or family members if they, say, didn't believe in astrology, or had different political beliefs, or *gasp* didn't like Star Trek. I hate to say it, but i'm tired of having to walk on eggshells sometimes around these people, because there are just so many casual remarks that we can make in a given conversation that they will somehow find offensive or something. For the sake of family harmony I've stopped myself the odd time for just letting loose on this smarmy Christian attitude that somehow "these" people are on some lofty moral and spiritual plane, and I'm still "blind" or something. Like, fuck off.
Heathen Monkey
I hate how it trains people to be callous and smug. All Christian children are told the story of Noah’s Ark, which perfectly capsulizes the cruelty of the religion. The doomed people in that fable were required to believe something ridiculously unbelievable as preached by someone anyone would consider insane. Even if people found Noah credible, he was only ever going to reach a limited number without TV or radio. So while the peoples’ own wickedness remains the official reason for their deaths, they were effectively punished for their natural skepticism and for being out of earshot. I’ve never seen a Christian admit the unfairness and ineptitude of this. At the most, they’ll say God promised never to destroy the world in that way again –as if it’s comforting to know he’ll be more creative next time. Noah wasn't spreading a message for people to be saved themselves. He was doing what the Westboro Baptist Church is doing and saying, basically, "You are so fucked. Rain's coming, and you can't come on board." Remember that the ark was not built to save humans in any significant number - only Noah's relatives. He might as well have had a sign that said, "God hates [whatever you are]!"

It used to be lambs, calves etc (even a baby in the case of King David), but now Jesus, the Lamb of God, is the final sacrifice through the shedding of HIS innocent blood. Blood sacrifice???!!! That's barbaric and illegal in most countries - I wish Christians would just catch a wake-up.

BTW, have you ever notice, that smell is not much different from when someone arrives at the ER after a very bad and bloody accident? IF that blood sacrifice actually happened, I don't expect the smell to be much different. Sickening, purely sickening and Xians just adore this crap! UGH! I'm off to go puke now. Carmen
Having to conform all your ideas and thoughts to the Christian world-view because it's supposedly "absolute truth". It's a system of obedience, you don't question it or think out what you believe for yourself, you simply accept it because it's supposed to be the "absolute standard".
