Vigile
The last time I visited home I got culture shock from all the billboards, bumper stickers and Jesus shirts/hats virtually everywhere I turned. It's either gotten worse or living in Europe has caused me to forget just how bad it always was. But I guess that is the rural Bible belt and not the US as a whole? I guess big cities there must be cosmopolitian in their outlook. Depends. My family lives in the state of Washington. What I described was in the Spokane area, which is mid-sized urban. Coastal regions, such as the Seattle/Portland/SF areas on the West Coast and most of the New England and Central Atlantic (DC/MD/Coastal PA) are not like I described. That still leaves a whole lot of America.
Moderator TrueFreedom Posted May 25, 2012 Moderator Share Posted May 25, 2012 Christians in the U.S. have gotten more zealous, in response to the sprinkling of <gasp> open atheism!
