willybilly30 Posted April 28, 2006 Share Posted April 28, 2006 i got a question on women abused in porn? isnt the porn just a job? i mean dont they basicly apply for it go punch a card in the timeclock do their job then go home? whats meant by this myth? are people trying to say they was forced into it? i mean sure.... i have seen ACCIDENTALLY by popup ads women and teen rape pics or kiddie porn im sure thats forced. but im thinking for the rest of them its just a job. like the girls at the playboy mansion its just a job they get paid lots of money. its no diffrent then women at strip clubs who get paid to twirl around a pole naked. i dont know the answers on the other myths but i do know some married couples who look at porn and are still married and i dont think porn leads to crime i know several people who look at porn and have never to me knowledge abused anyone. No when most people talk about porn stars being abused then usually mean they were abused when they were children sexually (like by fathers or boyfriends). If every woman who was sexually molested before she reached the age of consent all got into porn, prostitution, stripping.....all those "jobs" the christians love to hate........The streets would be lined with hookers so thick it would be like fishermen lined up on the Russian River during the salmon run! Oh wait....you might not know what that means.....it means elbow to elbow, shoulder to shoulder. And the nudie clubs would be replacing three poles a night from the wear. And porn videos would actually outnumber childrens videos at Blockbuster (I know...it doesn't seem possible ). And what about the other jobs molested women get into? Like law enforcement, nursing, fire ighting, and gynocology? There are those women who take what has happened to them and turn it into a strength or cause for fighting the good fight.......but all you usually hear about are the women who've become martyrs to their pasts. Christians are more comfortable with the "victim" angle for this kind of abuse. In fact they are more comfortable with the "victims" period.......NOW who is the molester? willybilly30 Posted April 30, 2006 Share Posted April 30, 2006 it seems like christians refuse to believe someone would take a job like that just cause they like it. i guess their logic is if you do anything against their religion you must of been abused or something traumatic. i have not done any research but i bet alot strippers and porn stars never been abused and took the job cause they enjoy it. If they didn't have those kinds of women to highlight as examples, then they'd have less ammo to use against pornography and push their sexophobia on everyone. Xian crusaders against porn only highlight those types of women, and ignore the majority, who just like what they do. Xians have to portray anything that is unacceptable to their cult as being made up of people who are fooked up or will be fooked up by their chosen profession. And if abuse goes down because of porn, then porn is a good thing, and eventually porn will be less because women only do porn because of the abuse? Just a crazy thought.
