The utter destruction of nearly all pre-Columbian writings, philosophy, art, artifacts, and architecture of the Aztecs by the Conquistadors and the culture-raping missionaries. . . <insert sounds of inarticulate rage here

You wonder why the fuck they had to ban books??? Too afraid of the truth.

How about this - "Mothers were skewered on swords [by the Muslims] as their children watched. Young women were stripped and raped in broad daylight, then....set on fire. A pregnant woman's belly was slit open, her fetus raised skyward on the tip of a sword and then tossed onto one of the fires that blazed across the city." From the New York Times, July 27, 2002 describing the violence between the Muslims and Hindus in India.

The invasion of China and the Rape of Nanking by the Japanese. Though, not a Christian motivation. The Japanese were so horrific that the Nazi's were horrified by their brutality against the Chinese.

This can't be considered a religious atrocity, as religion had nothing to do with it. But while we are mentioning Japanese invasions -

Don't forget the Japanese invasion of Korea in 1592-8. On the first day of the invasion (13 April) 3,241 heads were taken as trophies. On the second day 8000 were killed. At the siege of Tongnae on the fourth day 20,000 were killed. On the 24th of April 900 heads were taken as trophies. It was later decided that the amount of heads taken as trophies was too great to be returned to Japan as "proof of duty" so instead all the noses of the defeated Koreans were sent instead. In 1597 33,700 Korean noses had been sent back to Japan as war trophies and "proof of duty."
