In fact when I was a Xian years ago and people found out I was gay they often referred to me as "a dirty Jew queer" and "you are hell bound!" In fact a lot of Xians some how believe being gay is a hundred times worst than being an atheist and being gay is the worse sin of all, worse than murder, worse than kidnapping or armed robbery and "all queers are going to burn in hell." In fact because of that it got me on the road toward atheism as I could never understand why God would create a gay person and then turn around and condemn them. I thought if God is that stupid then he should not be the creator. My ex-wife's younger sister joined a phony religion back in the late seventies that was started by a man as a fluke. Actually he was an atheist trying to see how religions got started and his intent was an experiment, but my former sister in law fell for it like a ton of bricks and when she learned some twenty five years later it had been a hoax she called him "a filthy satanic A-hole" and "he will rot in hell." Oldjew Posted August 29, 2007 Share Posted August 29, 2007 I had this believer ask me a few years ago which religion I belonged to and I answered "I go to the Church of Dog on even Sundays and the Holy Catlicker church on the odd Sundays but out side of that I don't even go to church as neither Dog nor Cat loves me very much." This guy's face twisted around like he was trying to eat a mouth full of peanut butter as he asks, "What are you some kind of freaking atheist bastard from hell? All of the atheist scumbags I know have gone to hell." I wanted to ask him if he had been to hell since he seemed to know that all "atheist scumbags" had gone there but I am sure he would have tried to deck me right there. I don't know what it is about the Xians that they get so uptight and on the defense when ever you make a joke or use humor when talking about their religion like they doubt God can defend himself which makes me wonder if they have doubts about God's ability at all. Oldjew Posted August 30, 2007 Share Posted August 30, 2007 Speaking of names I just discovered what a troll is and I believe anyone that comes on to an atheist site and preaches religion is a troll and why they do it I believe is to get some one's goat which to me reinforces the idea that theist are filled to the brim with hatred as after all the god of the bible is a hateful violent god filled with anger at his own creation and therefore he passes this trait unto his believers. Just about every religion has a message of hate, some more than others. The Christian and Muslims are on an even keel on the hatred thing as both want to kill, harm, maim, harass and oppress others who do not believe as they do or who does not belong to their particular rhetoric. Even Hindus promote hatred against others and Buddhist do as well. In fact about the only religion I know of that does not promote hatred against others is the Wicca religion. I was SO Proud of her for even knowing who Jezebel was! My mother, however, did NOT like her choice of screen name!
