ContraBardus Posted April 14, 2015 Share Posted April 14, 2015 Yes, this is an official poster. Contra, what is this movie about? Is this like another version of that anti-hero movie kick-ass? No. This is a Marvel film. It's Deadpool. He's technically an X-men character, but has never been an X-man. He shows up in all sorts of comics as a guest character. It's also going to be rated R. The guy is basically a mercenary and he's not really good per say, but not evil either. He does work for bad guys sometimes though. He's got the same power as Wolverine, but stronger. He regenerates any damage. They actually came out of the same secret weapons program, there's a decent chanced we'll see him cameo in the film [also rumors Colossus will appear]. He's not a mutant, but was artificially given Wolverine's healing ability but boosted. It would have killed him but his cancer being constantly healed and accelerated keeps it from doing so. It also makes him pretty ugly and deformed under the mask. He's different because he's bat shit crazy and several has voices in his head, knows he's a comic book character [he'll probably know he's in a movie in the film], and runs his mouth constantly he teams up with heroes and villains and irritates the hell out of them. [Which is why Ryan Reynolds is the perfect guy to play him.] Here's a test reel they made for the movie. Somebody leaked it online a while back, the internet had a massive nerdgazm, and that's how the movie got greenlit by Fox. If you find this entertaining, you'll probably like the movie when it comes out.
