Condoms suck. Just saying. My vasectomy was an awesome solution!! But I was done having kids so..... 

 

Don't get me wrong. I used condoms for years to not have kids. Its the responsible thing to do. But most my partners ended up on birth control if they weren't already on it.

Condoms didn’t bother me much but I definitely recommend getting snipped when you’re done fathering.  I often forget I’m not firing live rounds anymore.

I've been looking at some of the ex-Christian/materialist staples like "burden of proof", "extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence" or  "that was debunked" and finding that with further thought these don't have much substance. Just assertions. 

 

Whatever a mind 'prefers' is what will become more important and crush other thoughts. Anyway, Happy Thanksgiving.

Knowing I'm shooting blanks makes it more pleasurable for me. No worries about an OOPS! I'm going to get it checked to make sure they are still blanks before being active without condoms with anyone else now that the ex has left. Just to make sure. 

 

Don't think I have anything to worry about tho. It's been 10 years or so.

Oh no I do. The ex didn't like letting me finish while she was doing that. So I bought flavored condoms as a compromise lol

Since I helped get us off-topic with flavored condoms, I should make amends by actually commenting on abortion.  I have definitely become more tolerant of / sympathetic toward abortion since I deconverted, as I have toward euthanasia.  But these are very difficult issues and I know good people with widely varying opinions.  I hate to see people demonizing each other for having the wrong position.  I supported overturning Roe v Wade because I thought it was an unsound decision, constitutionally speaking, and a form of legislating from the bench.  It is better and more in line with the Constitution for states to decide.  I don’t support my state’s very tight restrictions on abortion and would be OK with a limit of 15-20 weeks or so.  But I do realize that most people here are more conservative - and they know they can always go to a neighboring state if they find themselves in that position and suddenly become more pro-choice!

I think, gentlemen, with all due respect, you are missing the point a little. 

When it comes to the old saying "it takes two to Tango", does it not mean just that? A fertile woman AND a man to make that baby? 

I would think men would be clamoring for the male version of The Pill I took way back when to prevent pregnancy. Instead, we have Viagra!!! 

So. In my entire lifetime of being on the female side of the pregnancy/abortion/childbirth issue, I would never have had to deal with an abortion whatsoever had the man taken the responsibility off my hands and helped prevent the issue from having to be dealt with at all. Instead, I spent all my years of fertility relying solely on myself, using every means possible to prevent the 'next, dreaded' pregnancy, because believe me, I did NOT want to be pregnant ever again. 

My point is, as they say, prevention is worth a pound of cure, INCLUDING abortion. Amirite? 

So. Condoms, vasectomies, whatever, take the responsibility off us and do something to help rather than wait to have to do something called 'abortion'. It will solve a hell of a lot of other problems further down the road too!!! Like childhood poverty! ETC. 

So! Much more economically feasible, reasonable, and I would think MORAL for the boys of fertile age to help out with the abortion issue by stepping up and doing their part for prevention, that's all. Yes, I know it's IMPOSSIBLE given the fact everyone has sex, whether christians admit it or not, but that's a whole other thread.
