-Demona-
Here's what I did for the Sabbath: - Slept till around 11am. - Downloaded a bunch of videos and mp3s, Sorted them into their proper folders and edited the videos to my liking. - Emptied the two boxes of cat litter and put in new litter. - Took out the trash. - Moved some boxes for my mom. - Moved some stuff in my room. I'll be feeding the cats in a bit, and will probably be sorting out more of my stuff later.
godlessgrrl
So far today I slept in a bit, snoozed some more (since I've been out with a moderate tummy bug the past couple of days), got up, took a shower with the spouse , and hung out with spouse watching cheesy old Shaw Bros. kung fu flicks. (Yeah. Gordon Liu is HOT. ) I'm wasting time online right now (duh). Might do some reading and relaxing more later. I'm doing laundry too. Easy to do - the washer does it all. (I love modern appliances... )
Kelli
Got my dryer hooked up. Damn Home Depot and Lowes. I don't have compatible circuit breaker brands memorized and I waited so long for someone to answer my question at Lowes that I gave up and went to Home Depot. Home Depot had a brand compatibility chart on the wall, but it took 20 minutes to find someone to cut me 15 feet of 8/2 wire. Once I got the shit home, it took me all of 15 minutes to get it all hooked up and get the dryer running. Did five loads of laundry today, Susie folded and put them away. Washed a shitload of dishes. Made turkey dumpling soup for dinner. Carted my son over to his friends house for the afternoon. Ordered Dish Network online. Susie and I watched that Jesus Camp movie on my laptop. Holy SHIT! That was eye opening and depressing (and brought back bad memories), even though we were steeped in a church very similar to that. More on that in another thread. Talked to Nivek for all of 5 minutes and promised to call him back later. Ooops! Got busy with shit. Sorry Niv. Didn't get the TV fixed either. Oh well. There's always tomorrow. But tomorrow I'm taking the frikkin' day off...
ThinkingForMyself
Another Sunday without church. It was a great sunday indeed. Lets see now. I got up at 9:30am. Slowly got started on doing studying for my exam this week. This weeks exam is on cost behaviour analys. It's part of the cost accounting course (3rd level CGA course). I chilled a little. Ate lunch. Got ready to head out of my apartment. Went to a family gathering. Came home, did more review, took a shower. Tonight I saw another installment of The Apprentice LA. This episode was amusing to say the least. They showed a shortened part of the two teams working on their tasks and then how last weeks losing team (Arrow) won this week. What got me laughing was how they showed 20 mins of Nicole and Tim together. Nicole got stung by a jelly fish and Tim took her to have it checked out by a doctor. They then show how later that night they made out in the pool. Personally, I'm glad they did. It sure is more interesting than listening to the losing team gripe about their crummy project manager. I'm going to do some more studying and then head off to bed at a decent hour for a change. It sounds boring how I'm studying all of the time (actually it's more interesting than the preaching at church). But a license to practice accounting takes a lot of work. Lots of studying. I find it easy. I cant wait till i make big bucks and live in a nice condo. Ahhh.. the heathen life....
Amethyst
Played WoW and got my character up to level 29. Went through the car wash because my car had a bunch of salt and other crud on it. Got my laundry and dishes done. Practiced knitting for an hour. I started taking a class. My first class was Saturday. We don't meet again for 2 weeks, so I'm planning on practicing a lot more. Called my uncle long-distance to wish him a happy b-day (it's tomorrow). Was actually a lot more productive today than Saturday. On Saturday, I had knitting class in the afternoon and practiced for an hour after I got home. Played WoW the rest of the day.
Astreja
My day was, well, interesting. Usual Sunday outings, but when we returned the furnace was making a weird sound. Details here. That notwithstanding, it was a pretty good day. We worked on blocks in karate class, and they felt nice and solid and strong. It's all starting to come together, and in the not too distant future I hope to get tested for yellow belt.

Kelli
Happy Heathen Sabbath Day! This morning at 9 we had to pick up our 7 year old from a sleepover. Drove past a couple of churches and watched the whitewashed masses coming and going from their Sunday services. Bumming around watching a couple of shows and movies until 2:30, when we will leave to meet a friend for coffee at 3. Will most likely pick up my daughter's BF so he can hang here for a few hours this evening. Daughter and BF will probably make out in the pantry again... That's our Sunday this week. We were going to be working on a van to get it on the road, but we went to move it yesterday and the brakes were frozen and then I broke a CV joint trying to move it. Oh well..... sarahgrace
I slept in today, as per the usual for days off. Got up, ate a sandwich, and am doing laundry. A very lazy day. I might clean my room later if I feel motivated, but the the forecast is doubtful. Currently listening to Björk (Homogenic, Medúlla) and enjoying a late winter day indoors. Might read some Harry Potter later. My life is not very exciting, but I like it.
godlessgrrl
I've been playing the insomnia/anxiety game for the past week and trying to get it under control so I can get my clock reset well enough to be able to cope at my new job this week. So today I've been surfing excessively on the 'net, reading books and notes about Bronze Age Greece, and generally trying to stay awake, so that I fall asleep around 9 tonight or so, and get some good rest. Astreja
Started out with coffee and oatmeal at home, just before noon. Off to karate. After lunch we hit the local lumber yard and I bought some plywood for the floor in my study. (Blogged about it here.) Currently surfing the 'Net as supper simmers, and then I'm hoping to have an earlier-than-usual (for a Sunday) night and get to bed before midnight. Astreja
Currently surfing the 'Net as supper simmers... So on Sundays you cruise other message boards under the username Supper Simmers? It's a fair cop, but society is to blame. (sends nasty PM to "Society") Dinner was beef stew, potato dumplings and ginger beer, with potato chips and Cadbury Mini-Eggs for dessert, BTW. (And did I just hear a nutritionist scream?)

shotsy
Let's see... got up, had toast and eggs for breakfast, spent some time on this forum. Around 12 I went to the library with a friend and did homework. Then went to his house, had some indian food, and lounged around with his housemates (and houseguests) for about 3 hours drinking plum sake and yerba mate and looking out the big windows at the view of the green hills while the incense burned. I've never been more relaxed!
Ramen666
This is why I didn't post at all yesterday: I woke up at 8 and everything was ok for the first couple of minutes. My dog is in and my parents are getting something to eat. Then my dog just started to cry and she couldn't walk on her back legs. She felt so bad and my parents didn't know what to do. We were able to get her in the other room and the crying was stopping and we were able to calm her down. Then we tried calling a vet, not one is open on Sunday even our local PetSmarts website said it was open on Sunday 10-5. It was not open, I am a 19 year old male was in tears over my dog. I felt so bad because that dog is the nearest thing to me. I felt so hepless because their is no place opened. My parents being Christian prayed and prayed for her, I was in tears I wanted her to feel better. Throughout the day she lied down and rested and she was able to walk slowly and then better. By nighttime she felt a whole lot better and she was even sitting up (which she wasn't able to for a couple a days). I don't know what happened, I don't know if that prayer was answered or not. But I am damn happy my dog feels a lot better now. I am not a Christian but I can't explain what happened honestly. But if God did something for once, good for him. I just don't know I am shocked over what happened. As of today she is a lot better than she was yesterday and Saturday. I want to post this because I was amazed, skeptical it was prayer anyway because that doesn't explain so much suffering. If anyone knows about dogs please PM me asap. That may of known what happened because I will explain in more detail.

Amethyst
Made breakfast. Played World of Warcraft for a while. Did laundry. Went shoe shopping and returned a DVD to the rental place. All in all, a good morning.
godlessgrrl
Today I went to bed at 7 AM, after being up all night wasting time. Got up at 2:30 PM. Hung out with the spouse for a bit. Didn't do my taxes. (HA!) We went out and saw the movie "300" instead, then went and got dinner out. I'm probably going to relax for a bit before spouse has to go to work and I have to go to sleep. Maybe I'll watch "Sin City" or something, and maybe I'll get my tax paperwork in order, at least, so I can tackle it this week. But maybe not. Astreja
Partner headed out circa 8 a.m. to do some cat-sitting for a friend. I stayed in bed till after ten, surrounded and/or sat upon by various cats. Got up and ate several bowls of Corn Pops, then glanced at the Internet for about half an hour. Partner phoned home about 11:30, coming to pick me up for karate. We went to Horton's at the mall for coffee and tea, then drove to the rec centre and suited up. After class we had lunch, then picked up building materials and headed over to my parents' place to begin repairs on a ceiling. Dropped partner off at her cat-sitting gig, and headed home to check on our own feline mob. More 'Net surfing. Picked up partner, then stopped off to buy some cough medicine. Not-quite-leisurely evening tea (cats finished my maple walnut ice cream!), then schlepped a bunch of stuff out to the front porch for a thrift-store pickup tomorrow a.m. Still to come: Nice hot bubble bath.
