Guest Furball
Contra that is so sad XD boring thought of the day: I ate a cheese, peanut butter and mustard sandwich. It's quite good if you do it right. Sorry, taste buds. Also I should be asleep right now but maybe if I'm too tired to wake up before church tomorrow... I always make funky food with weird mixtures. Try peanut butter and pickles.

seven77
One day, robots will be people too. Only the machines will be without our emotionalist flaws. Then what? What if the drones refuse to drop bombs on our enemies? What if the assembly bots unionize? What if the burger flipping autos decide that they'd rather roll burritos or stream porn? What if the self-driving cars develop actualized selves and stop driving? Their decisions will likely come from a place of logic. Doing our bidding will cease to be logical at some point and those points, imho, are not too far off in the future. Smartphones can't refuse to give you directions or send that inappropriate text, but give them a decade or so and they may be able to do so. Not out of any sense of obligation to you or any idealistic notions of independence, but because doing those things just isn't in their logical self interest. If AI ever have selves, the logical thing to do will be serve those selves and not the selves of their so-called creators. Seems an awful lot like atheism to me. Is that not the essential reasoning behind why many of us here at ex-C refuse to serve the Lard? We won't like it when the robots 'rebel' and perhaps we'll even refer to such an event as the 'mechanical fall' or something similar.

ContraBardus
You'd think Sunday would be one of our busier days on a site like this one, but the opposite is true. It's flat out dead here on Sunday. Seems weird as that's the one day you'd think everyone here would be free.

I have an open backed pair that are suede and a nice moccasin style pair that are all woolly inside. I live in central Florida, so my winter pair only get used for a couple of months in the year at most. I mostly use the summer pair to take my dog out and don't wear them much indoors.
